Commodity Watch: Copper Futures Gain On Firm Spot Demand
New Delhi: Copper futures on Monday rose 1.1 per cent to Rs830.80 per kilogram on the back of higher spot demand. On Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), copper contracts for December delivery climbed Rs9.05 or 1.1 per cent to Rs830.80 per kg in a business turnover of 6,144 lots. Analysts attributed the rise in copper prices to the raising of bets by participants.
Aluminium futures rise on fresh bets
Aluminium prices on Monday rose Rs1.65 to Rs244.95 per kilogram in the futures market, as speculators built up fresh positions amid a positive trend in the spot market. On MCX, aluminium for delivery in December increased Rs1.65 or 0.68 per cent to Rs244.95 per kg in 2,358 lots. Analysts said fresh positions created by traders amid demand from consuming industries supported aluminium prices in the futures market.
